Welcome to St. Damian Catholic School
WHERE FAITH MEETS EDUCATION
Dear current and prospective families of our St. Damian Catholic School community,
It is indeed my great honor to be named, principal of St. Damian Catholic School again this year. One of the truly wonderful blessings in education is that each new school year presents itself with a refreshed group of smiling, exciting faces eager to learn. My commitment to you and your child is to do my very best to foster your child’s innate desire to explore, to discover and to understand themselves and the world in which they live. I will strive to do so within the context of our Catholic faith and the teachings of Jesus.
Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Mrs. Jacqueline R. Mojeske and it is my privilege to be serving as your school leader. This is my 20th year in education, all in Catholic Schools. I have a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education specializing in the primary/junior division from the University of Windsor. I also earned my Masters of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. I live in South Rockwood with my wonderful husband and I have two beautiful children.
I know from working with Fr. Pat, Fr. Jim, teachers, parents and community members, that St. Damian is a school committed to excellence. Academic achievement, character development, commitment to safety, and a sense of belonging and community are clearly high priorities here at St. Damian. Please be assured of my commitment to honoring your accomplishments and my hope of contributing to even greater success in the future.
Again, I thank you for the opportunity to become a member of your impressive school community. I am so pleased to be here! I am committed to making your experience here at St. Damian Catholic School a positive one! I am excited about being part of a school community that celebrates a long standing tradition of excellence! Go Chargers!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jacqueline R. Mojeske

Welcome to our St. Damian Catholic School's website. Whether you're a current or prospective new school family, visitor, former alumni, or parishioner, we hope you find the information on our website useful.
St. Damian Catholic School has been an integral part of the Westland area and the Archdiocese of Detroit since 1958. Both Catholic and Non-Catholic families have embraced St. Damian Catholic School as the school of choice for their children. Our families come from all over: Detroit, Dearborn Heights, Dearborn, Garden City, Canton, Livonia, Westland and the Redford area.
As the only Catholic school in the city of Westland, we take pride in providing the highest quality education to all our students, yet remain small enough to give our children the personal attention that will help them excel to their fullest potential socially, academically, physically, and spiritually.
Our faculty is made up of highly qualified and dedicated educators with a deep commitment to Catholic education! We maintain high academic standards and offer a well-rounded curriculum. Our students are respectful, responsible, and take pride in doing their best as they live out their faith daily. We believe in maintaining a strong collaborative partnership between school and home supporting our students as they continue down their path of success. Our Catholic identity permeates our school as you walk the halls each day. We invite you to visit our school and take a tour. Stop by any time- no appointment necessary.
